BIRLINGHAM’S Shukokai Karate Federation students came away with medals at the SKF Kimuri Cup.

Competitors from all over the country entered the annual challenge at the Portway Centre, near Redditch.

Assistant instructor Josie Farrow was on top form to take gold in the women’s fighting and a second victory in the team fighting.

Club instructor, Sensi Steve Farrow, claimed silver in the veterans’ kata.

Dave Graves picked up bronze in the veterans’ fighting and Ben Graves managed a well-deserved bronze in the 14 years boys’ fighting.

SKF world chief instructor Sensi Eddie Daniels said he was pleased with the club’s success.
