TERRY Jenkins won £1,500 after reaching the quarter–finals of the PDC Players Championships in Crawley.
The Bull, from Ledbury, swept past Stephen Bunting and Gary Anderson before losing to finalist James Wade in the last eight of Sunday’s competition.
Jenkins recorded a 6-3 win against Johnny Haines in the first round, overpowered Dave Ladley 6-2 in the second and dispatched Bunting 6-4.
Jenkins averaged more than 110 in a 6-4 win over Scotsman Anderson in the last-16 but was unable to repeat the performance against Wade and fell to a 6-0 quarter-final whitewash.
He suffered a first-round exit the previous day, losing 6-5 to Brett Claydon.
