PERSHORE Rugby Club ended Woodrush’s 100 per cent record in Midlands Three West (South) with a 36-15 home win.

They scored an early drive-over try through Lee Synnuck before Tommy Hayes touched down.

Woodrush hit back with a try and penalty but the home pack regained control with further scores from Alex Peel and Synnuck.

Lewis Dolphin kicked the other points as Pershore went up to third.

They will head to Willenhall in the RFU Senior Vase second round on November 8.

Pershore visit Shipston-on-Stour in the league on Saturday (3pm).

Meanwhile, Evesham thrashed basement boys Warwickian 70-0 to go second in the Midlands Four West (South) table.

They visit Atherstone on Saturday and go to Bishops Castle in the RFU Junior Vase second round on November 8.

Ninth-placed Bredon Star slipped 8-7 at high-flying Dursley in Gloucester Division One and host Gloucester Old Boys on Saturday.
