EVESHAM United were full value for a 0-0 draw at higher-graded Histon to earn Wednesday night's home FA Cup second qualifying round replay.

The Robins produced a well-organised display to frustrate the hosts at the Glass World Stadium.

United manager Paul Collicutt received a boost when key players Linden Dovey, Marcus Jackson, Elliot Kennedy and Ashley Edenborough were declared fit.

A young Histon side made the early running, resulting in Nick Freeman and Matt Lowe having long-range efforts taken by Robins keeper Kevin Sawyer.

United grew in confidence and had penalty appeals turned down when Kennedy appeared to be fouled in the box by Ashley White.

Last season's leading scorer Lance Smith had a couple of headers saved as Evesham finished the half on the front foot.

The pace of George Washbourne down the left was a constant threat to Histon in the second period.

He shot across the face of an unguarded goal and then set up substitute Edenborough, who was denied by keeper Enol Ordonez.

The reliable Sawyer made a smart stop from Mateusz Kuzimski but United pushed hard for a winner late on.

Duran Reynolds made brave blocks to keep out Smith and the hard-working Carl Brown.

During injury-time, Edenborough escaped his marker only to fire just over with the keeper beaten.

Evesham: Sawyer, Wilson, Binns, Wood (Edenborough 45), Sysum, Dovey, Kennedy (Watts 75), M Jackson, Smith, Brown, Washbourne (Stanley 80). Subs not used: Tambling, Wellon, Drake, N Jackson.

Attendance: 227.
