BREDON Star crowned their first North Midlands Vase final appearance with an emphatic 34-7 victory over Woodrush.
They started at a high tempo and were rewarded with a penalty kicked by fly-half Joe Carolan.
Woodrush hit back but missed a penalty from in front of the posts and Bredon replied with their best 30 minutes of attacking rugby all season.
The backs cashed in on the offloading of the forwards with tries from wing Gav Maber, player-coach Stuart Doust and centre Nathan Barry.
Second row Joe Bawdon added one for the forwards from short range.
Midlands Four West (South) champions Woodrush came out with renewed energy after the interval and scored a quick try.
But then Doust intercepted a pass and sprinted from just outside his own 22 to score under the posts, allowing Maber to kick his third conversion.
Ambitious Star have gained promotion to Gloucester Division One and will build their own clubhouse ready for next season.
