MORETON Rangers romped to a 4-0 success at Winchcombe Town in a Gloucestershire Northern Senior Football League Division Two Cotswold derby.

A Lee Brooks hat-trick fired Rangers alongside a Martin Tomes strike although they had Edward Dale sent off.

The victory boosted Moreton's hopes of finishing second in the table with runaway leaders Barometrics 12 points ahead.

They host Longford on Saturday and ninth-placed Winchcombe entertain Leonard Stanley (both 3pm).

Next week, Winchcombe visit Tuffley Rovers Reserves on Tuesday and Rangers head to Quedgeley Wanderers on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Chipping Norton made the Witney and District Senior Cup semi-finals in dramatic fashion with a penalty shoot-out victory at Chadlington after drawing 2-2.

Bourton Rovers return to action at home to fellow high-fliers Carterton Pumas in Witney League Division One on Saturday.
