CHIPPING Norton racer Andy Carpenter got the 2014 season off to a fine start with a second place at Brands Hatch.
He is again partnered by Hungerford's Greg Allsop in their Hottrax Motorsport ACU National Endurance Championship 1,000cc class title tilt.
Last season, the duo finished second overall and they are looking to go one better this year although some top riders stand in the way.
Team Go Racing Developments have a team in the 600cc class too with Seb Kelly and Peter Hay, who won in Kent.
Carpenter said: “We were pleased with the results of both teams given the extra workload put on the pit crew running two teams side-by-side in the endurance race."
All four bikes are prepared by Witney's Mark Sadler at Go Racing Developments.
The second round is at Cadwell Park, Lincolnshire, over the Easter weekend.
