EVESHAM United take on another of the Calor Southern League Division One South and West play-off contenders tonight when they face North Leigh (7.45pm).

The Robins have played back-to-back games against teams in the top five, losing 3-0 at Swindon Supermarine and 2-1 at Tiverton Town on Saturday.

But tonight they return to the Spiers and Hartwell Jubilee Stadium for the visit of seventh-placed North Leigh, who are five points shy of the play-off zone.

Manager Paul Colicutt, whose side are 16th in the table, said: “We are playing another team that are going for the play-offs.

“We put up a good fight against the other two and it’s been disappointing that we haven’t come away with anything. The performance levels have been there for all to see.

“Both managers said we should have come away with something from the matches but that’s no consolation.”

Midfielder Elliott Kennedy (groin), striker James Vercesi (rib) and centre-half Linden Dovey (knee) should all be available to play some part against the Oxfordshire outfit.
