FOURTH-from-bottom Pershore Town suffered a disappointing 1-0 home defeat to fellow strugglers Blackwood in the Midland Combination Premier Division.
A game of few chances saw Town’s Mark Owen head wide in the first-half after good wing work from Zach Blood.
Pershore keeper Matt Oliver made a couple of good saves but was beaten in the 75th minute when Blackwood striker Daniel Pitt stroked the ball home at the back post.
Town’s best efforts in the second-half were a well-saved header from Adam Mclaughlin and Steve Webb’s 25-yard volley which hit the bar.
Pershore entertain Stafford Town at the Winstanley and Co King George V Stadium on Tuesday (7.45pm).
