A WELCOME return to football after weeks of postponements saw Pershore Town win an entertaining home match 3-2 against high-flying Bolehall Swifts.

The visitors dominated early possession the St Mary's Hospice Midland Combination Premier Division clash.

But, against the run of play, Matt Hunt scored after 18 minutes for Pershore with a header at the back post, stooping low to convert a Mark Owen corner.

Bolehall hit back three minutes later through Dave Yonwin through another header from a corner.

Pershore started to play good football with Louis Bridges converting an Owen cross with a well-placed glancing header just before half-time.

Bolehall enjoyed more of the possession in the second period but the hosts increased their lead with a well-taken, side-footed finish by Damien Fearn from another Owen cross.

The visitors pulled a goal back in the 82nd minute which resulted in a tense finish but Town held on to earn a valuable three points.
