EVESHAM took a strong contingent of young swimmers to long-course training at Coventry’s 50-metre pool.

Acting head coach Andy Mabbett put the youngsters, aged between nine and 13, through their paces with a gruelling 3,400m set.

It was in preparation for the upcoming Worcestershire County Championships and Evesham can boast a record number of swimmers having qualified with 25 in total holding 126 times between them.

The championships start later this month and will run over three consecutive weekends. It promises to be a busy time for the Evesham club.

To ensure Evesham continue the fine progress of their swimmers recently, they are actively recruiting new faces to join their coaching team.

Details can be found on the club’s website at eveshamswimmingclub.co.uk.
