DOUBLE Ross followed up his December Gold Cup success with a decisive win over Cedre Bleu in Cheltenham’s Fairlawne Handicap Chase.

The gelding impressed under Naunton trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies’ jockey son Sam to justify strong support from 2-1 in the morning to 11-8 on the off, triumphing by four-and-a-half lengths.

Twiston-Davies’ other son Willy celebrated his first winner at Meydan, Dubai, by partnering Maltese Cat (7-1) in the Al Hadeerah Handicap.

He has taken over the role as main jockey to the Mick Channon stable for 2014.

Chipping Norton trainer Charlie Longdon bagged a Southwell double through No No Mac (8-11) and Wadswick Court (5-4) with both ridden by Noel Fehily.

Bold Tara (8-1) won at the meeting for Condicote’s Martin Keighley, while Ringa Bay (5-2) was a Huntingdon victor for Stow-on-the- Wold’s David Bridgwater.
