PERSHORE secured 35 medals at the Wyre Forest county qualifier meeting in Wolverhampton.

Charlotte Downey started the haul with silver in the 10 years 200-metre individual medley.

The golds followed in the 100m individual medley thanks to nine-year-old Cameron Leach in one minute 38.25 seconds and 11- year-old Chris Vizard in 1.24.55.

Harry Sykes added silver in the 15-year-old age group and Patrick Heeks, 10, bronze with a personal best.

In the butterfly, Katie Sharratt took bronze in the 50m and William Gearey gold in the 10-year-old 100m event in 1.25.48. Sharratt also claimed a 100m silver.

The 50m backstroke saw Megan Annis come second in the 10-year-old category with her first time under 40 seconds.

Vizard grabbed silver in the 100m backstroke before Josh Lane, 13, and Angus Jones, 16, increased Pershore’s medal tally with bronzes.

There were five medals in the 50m and 100m breaststroke events as Annis added gold in the 100m in 1.40.75.

Sykes dominated his 50m race with gold in 34.09.

Vizard and Gearey added second gold medals in 43.62 and 43.52 respectively, while Leach secured bronze.

In the 50m freestyle, Jasmine Franks, nine, and Naomi Marsden, 11, grabbed bronzes and faster county qualifying times in 38.55 and 34.34 respectively.

In the 100m freestyle, Vizard bagged his third gold medal in 1.10.62, Sykes took silver and Jones bronze.

Franks and Annis managed 100m individual medley silvers in 1.41.42 and 1.28.91 respectively with Marsden adding bronze in 1.23.85.

In the 200m individual medley, Leach stormed to gold with 3.45.20, while Vizard was just beaten into silver.

But Vizard was soon back on the top podium, taking gold in the 50m butterfly in 37.95, and there were silvers for Leach and Jones.

The same trio all claimed 50m backstroke silvers, while Jamie Saunders managed bronze in the 10-yearold 50m butterfly.

Franks and Annis won golds in the 50m breaststroke in 51.75 and 45.32 respectively with Downey grabbing silver and Hannah Simister, 12, bronze.

Gearey and Sykes added two more golds in the 100m breaststroke in 1.36.21 and 1.15.36 respectively.

In the last two events, Pershore collected another four medals with Annis second in the 100m freestyle.

The 50m freestyle produced silvers for Sykes and Jones as well as bronze for Leach.
