PERSHORE Rugby Club secured a second consecutive win to move up the Midlands Three West (South) table.
Having beaten Vale rivals Evesham 44-26 the previous week, the Wyre Piddle-based side romped to a 29-5 win at Kings Norton.
Meanwhile, Evesham’s tough season continued with a 52-17 home thrashing by new leaders Pinley.
Only four points separate the top four but the gap is far larger at the foot of the table with Shipston-on-Stour, who lost 21-14 at Cheltenham North, and Evesham stranded.
With both teams hit by deductions, Shipston have only just reached 0 and Evesham hold a single point.
Kings Norton are third from bottom with seven and Pershore moved up to eighth position, now boasting a 15- point advantage over their weekend opponents.
Saturday’s fixtures see Pershore host Ledbury and Evesham visit Shipston.
