FRANK Leadbeater is still going strong on the bowling green in the Cotswolds at the age of 90.
The Chipping Campden club president, who started out in the sport in 1960, celebrated his birthday last month.
When the club lost their facilities in the centre of town 25 years ago, Leadbeater was chairman and played his part in keeping them going.
Thanks to the green at the Victoria Arms, Bretforton, Campden’s players enjoyed a full fixture card until the pub closed.
Leadbeater also had a role in establishing their current six-rink green and clubhouse when the work started in 2002.
