Super season sees aces gear up for county test

EVESHAM have enjoyed their most successful qualifying campaign for the Worcester County Championships.

They have 23 swimmers with 106 county times between them competing this weekend and then on March 9, 10 and 17 at Wolverhampton.

Over the past six months, youngsters aged from nine to 15 have worked hard to meet the standard for the gala.

Not all the members can swim at the final due to other commitments but Evesham, with one of the smaller clubs in Worcestershire, can be still be proud of their achievements.

Amy Camp, Chloe Golding, Abigail Tustin and Martha Bailey qualified but will not be involved.

A club spokesman said: “We look forward to some good swims from all finalists.

If all goes to plan, Evesham should hopefully come home with some medals.”
