Wyck Hill choice at Kempton

WYCK Hill is the favourite for Saturday’s Racing Plus Chase at Kempton which will be missing rival Katenko.

David Bridgwater’s eightyear- old, entered in the Cheltenham Gold Cup and the Grand National, beat Venetia Williams’ Cheltenham winner at Ascot in December.

Stow-on-the-Wold’s Bridgwater said of Wyck Hill: “We’re thrilled with how he’s been and can’t wait for Saturday.

It’s a £100,000 handicap so it‘s going to take some winning.

“(Nicky) Henderson and (Paul) Nicholls are bound to have something lined up but we’re honoured to be favourite.

“We’ve been in discussions with people about selling him as I own a bit of him as well but, at the minute, all there have been are discussions.”

Stan James have Wyck Hill as 11-4 favourite ahead of Rolling Aces (3-1) and Opening Batsman.
