FOUR Evesham Vale runners competed in the Naunton 19 Trail Race on a challenging course laid out by Cotswold Running.
The previous night’s freezing weather created firm footing and a few cold water crossings.
Roy Betts led the Vale club home in 25th position, clocking two hours 41 minutes 30 seconds.
Other times: Phil Cashman 2.56.58, Christine Lloyd 3.19.59, Elaine Clarke 3.36.31.
The club, who meet at 7pm outside The Trumpet pub, Merstow Green, start a beginners’ programme next Monday lasting 10 weeks.
