EVESHAM under 17s enjoyed a solid 14-5 victory at Bromsgrove in the North Midlands League.
The hosts led 5-0 at the break with a try despite fine tackling from Evesham during the first period.
They took advantage of a Bromsgrove sin-binning with Dom Berry scoring after an offload by Mike Harris who converted.
Wilf Watson and player-ofthe- match Ash Icke did not miss a tackle, while Iain Stoddart put in a crunching hit, and Evesham sealed the victory with Sam Laight’s converted try.
The under 15s lost 34-10 to Malvern with tries from Joe Tryner and Ryan Spear.
Evesham under 14s lost 44- 12 at Malvern but performed well, particularly in the second period.
The under 13s suffered a 52- 17 beating at Malvern. Ollie Gould scored a hat-trick of tries with his third after fine work by Simon Styan.
Cameron Greenlees was player-of-the-match for Evesham under 11s who lost 8-2 at Malvern. Evesham under eights hosted Malvern with Tigers winning 11-8 and 5-2 and Lions drawing 5-5 and losing 12-10.
Sam Swayne and Will Farr were among the tries for Lions with Toby Jones, Tommy Boorman, Laurie Checkley and Thompson diving over for Tigers.
The under sevens drew 10- 10 and lost 13-9 and 13-8 to Malvern. Cameron Robbins, Luke Tegg, Anton de Vos, Nick Bell, Harry Wycherley and Felix Hyett all scored at least two tries each.
