EVESHAM United Under 14s were rusty in their first game back after Christmas before winning 4-0 at Fintan.
They struggled to get going in the Cheltenham Youth League Division One fixture but took the lead just before half-time when George Robinson powered his way towards goal and finished coolly.
A good team talk at halftime and some changes saw a different performance from United in the second period and they dominated with Ryan Reeves and Dan Tustin winning the game’s midfield battle.
Robinson extended the Robins’ lead after Bradley Izod’s great running and then found Dom Taylor who ran on to bag a third for his side.
Finton’s keeper pulled off a string of saves and Robinson’s header crashed off the bar but, in the final seconds, Ben Ainsworth completed the scoring after good work from James Noble.
