West signs up Sysum for Robins

NEW signing Matt Sysum is poised to make his debut for Evesham United in Saturday’s match against Swindon Supermarine (3pm).

The 23-year-old centre-half has joined from rivals Cirencester Town, where he was captain, ahead of the Evo- Stik Southern League Division One South and West clash at the Spiers and Hartwell Jubilee Stadium.

Striker Roland Agbor is back following a four-game ban along with midfielders Simon Fitter (flu) and Neil MacKenzie (personal commitments) who missed Tuesday’s 3-0 Worcestershire FA Senior Cup semi-final defeat at Stourbridge.

Manager Paul West is keen to build up a rapport among his squad.

He said: “You want people who want to play for the club and we have to get it back.

“They have to enjoy each other’s company, not just pick up their money and clear off.”
