Hope fires hat-trick in victory
9:00am Thursday 1st November 2012 in Sport
PERSHORE Rugby Club showed their turnaround has not been a flash in the pan when they defeated high-flying Woodrush 34-0 at Piddle Park.
Prolific number eight Martin Hope scored his second hat-trick of tries in as many Midlands Three West (South) games.
Hope was joined on the scoresheet by captain Andy Jenkinson, fly-half Adrian Hanson and winger Stefan Ellis.
Pershore, who thrashed Redditch 50-3 the previous week, look to maintain their form on Saturday when they visit second-from-bottom Southam (2.15pm).
They are now fifth in the table with four consecutive league victories from their first six fixtures.
Meanwhile, Pershore women’s touch rugby side hope to win club-of-the-year at the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Sports Partnership awards on November 14.
