NICKIE Maddaford completed a hat-trick of victories on her young horse Lou Vega I.

The freelance dressage trainer and rider, who is based at Broadland Equestrian near Broadway, sealed the treble at Kings Equestrian, Bromyard. They won the novice freestyle to music class with 73.88 per cent, nearly six ahead of the rest of the field, in the sixth competition for Lou Vega I.

He also won both classes at Telford the previous week with 72.6 and 69.1 as the duo’s preparation for the winter regional championships gathered pace.
