IT wasn't just the cycling that led to a buzz around the city today.

The crowds who enjoyed the various events around Worcester were thrilled that for the most part the weather stayed dry.

Activities kicked off in the morning with a screening of Ice Age on a big screen in Cathedral Square.

The family friendly activity was well attended, and a screening of Grease was shown later in the day.

Craig Jones, from Advantage Digital the firm behind the screening, said it was great to see families at the event, and it was great location to show the film.

Laura Marsh, who lives near Kempsey and brought along her sons Oliver and Harry to see the film, said: "It has been really enjoyable.

"It is really good that it is free for families."

At 11am, there was a Sandwich Board March through the city's streets.

Rotarians wearing double-sided boards promoting locally-owned business marched from the Guildhall led by the Brigade band, from Malvern,

At the front of the march was Worcester's mayor Councillor Jabba Riaz.

Cllr Riaz said: "This march is a win, win situation for everyone.

"It boosts the profile of businesses, and Rotary members support good causes.

"It is a good show of strength for city businesses.

"It is a wonderful day in the city, there are events going on throughout the day."

Meanwhile Fluffy the Mammoth attracted attention, cycling Worcester's streets to promote the launch of the new Ice Age exhibition at Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum.

Charlie Fothergill, who wore the suit, said children enjoyed seeing the mammoth on the electric bike, and also took part in an art activity to create a mammoth outside the Guildhall.
