A MAN has come forward to speak to police following a CCTV appeal relating to an alleged attack on a teenager. 

Earlier today, West Mercia Police released a CCTV image of a man they wanted to speak to after a teenager claimed that he suffered facial injuries when he was hit on the back of the head in an early morning attack in the city centre.

After seeing himself in the CCTV image, a man went into Worcester Police Station in Castle Street this afternoon. 

The alleged attack happened on The Cross close to McDonalds at around 1.30am this morning.

The alleged victim, a 19-year-old man, is reported to have been approached from behind before being hit on the back of the head.
