AN Evesham drama group will perform Once Upon a Song at Evesham Arts Centre.

Evesham Operatic and Dramatic Society (EODS) will perform the show from Thursday May 17 to Saturday May 19.

The show includes music, dance and poetry from some of the world's best loved fairy tales and stories, such as Harry Potter, Beauty and the Beast, Matilda, The Little Mermaid, Wicked, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and The Greatest Showman.

Those looking for an extra sprinkling of fairy dust can take part in the fancy dress competition which is being held at the Saturday matinee performance at 2.30pm.

The most bewitching fairy tale costume will win the opportunity to meet and greet with the cast after the show.

Bethaney Rimmer, director of Once Upon a Song, commented: “This show is all about escapism – forgetting about everything in the real world and being immersed in imaginative stories and incredible music.

"It’s exciting to offer an experience that the whole family, from little ones to great-grandparents, can enjoy together. There will be something for everybody.”

She continues: “I’ve been immensely fortunate to have worked with an extremely talented cast and production team.

There are four performances of Once Upon a Song; Thursday May 17 at 7.30pm, Friday May 18 at 7.30pm, and Saturday May 19 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.
