LLANWARNE Agricultural Society is celebrating its 75th Anniversary Year with a special ploughing match.
The first meet was held on November 20 in 1943 at Llandinabo Court, Harewood End.
This year sees the anniversary match held at the nearby Llanwarne Court when it will be generously hosted by Mrs. I.E. Williams & Family on Saturday, September 8.
The fine site will also be hosting Sheep Dog Trials and is much appreciated by visitors together with a busy Horticultural and Produce Marquee hosted by the Ladies Committee.
The Blessing of the Plough Ceremony will be held at 9.45 a.m. with Ploughing starting at 10am.
In addition to the 80 or more Tractor Ploughmen/Women, there will be a number of fine Horse Teams ploughing as well.
