BE lifted this Friday (August 17) with The Wild Tonics, at the Artrix.

The Bromsgrove venue will welcome the glamorous, vintage vocal trio to the main auditorium, from 8pm.

A spokesman said: “The Wild Tonics give audiences a big, sexy and unpredictable night out, with a huge dose of glitz and glamour.

“The trio, who have been described as Beyonce, Bette Midler and The Boswell Sisters meet The Great Gatsby, give audiences a fun and upbeat show. Their performance takes current and classic hits back in time, along with a little ‘tonic twist’.”

The spokesman added: “As well as a superb evening of music, audiences are invited to swing by the Artrix foyer from 7pm to join in with a dance demo and master class from the brilliant The Swing Era.

“The Swing Era is an exciting and vibrant dance school in Birmingham with a passion for vintage lindy hop and swing dance music.”

Dance teachers will demonstrate authentic 1920s 1930s and 1940s dances, getting audiences warmed up prior to The Wild Tonic’s live performance.

The Wild Tonics, Katie, Harriet and Annabel, met in Doncaster ten years ago. Here they discovered a great friendship, a shared passion for music and performing and the romance of the good old days.

The spokesman added: “In the four years since they have formed The Wild Tonics, they have frequented some rather dashing haunts, including The Ritz. They have performed their Tonic tunes with a fifteen piece big band and sang alongside Gary Barlow at the hot new members club, The Ned and the trio also recently appeared on BBC One’s brand-new talent show All Together Now hosted by Rob Beckett.

“Artrix’s bar will be serving themed beverages, so visitors can have their Gin with a vintage twist as well as some Wild Tonic!”

Tickets for an evening of killer harmonies with The Wild Tonics are £17 each. To book tickets or for further information, visit artrix.co.uk or call the box office on 01527 577330.
