A WOMAN was left with broken ribs after a robbery at her Redditch home.

The incident took place in Salters Lane at around 4pm on Sunday, August 5.

A man, believed to be in his early twenties, is reported to have entered the victim's property and demanded money from her before dragging her by her hair and punching and kicking her.

He is believed to have been wearing a yellow football shirt and a ring resembling copper piping on one of his little fingers. He is also believed to have a large brown circular piercing to the top of his left ear, several silver and glass stud piercings to the rim of his right ear and a distinctive black tattoo on his left forearm.

The victim, a woman in her fifties, suffered broken ribs and cuts to her head and lip. She was treated in hospital for her injuries and was left shaken after the incident.
