A NEW tourist information hub has been set up at a busy shopping village on the Herefordshire and Worcestershire border.

The Hop Pocket Shopping Village in Fromes Hill has worked with Herefordshire’s destination marketing company, Eat Sleep Live Herefordshire to provide literature on tourist attractions in the area.

There will be a seating area at the shopping centre for those wishing to browse information on places to eat, sleep and enjoy.

Large wall maps will help visitors to locate the attractions and accommodation, and the hub will continue to evolve to become more comprehensive.

Heidi Chamberlain-Jones, director of Eat Sleep Live Herefordshire, said: "With the decline of tourist information centres across the county, we are delighted to support the development of this ideal location and give our members an excellent regular venue to promote themselves in.

"This has been created with no public funding, just the creativity and collaboration of two businesses whose mission is to promote tourism."
