A SCENIC tour of vintage vehicles will take place as part of a village's fete and classic car show.
Since 2006, Classics at Madley has held a static classic car show as part of the annual church fete.
This year, on June 3, they are taking things up a gear with the event's first scenic tour for vintage, classic and “interesting” cars and motorcycles.
The tour will be 60 to 70 miles-long through the valleys on Herefordshire's border with Wales, followed by an expedition to conquer the Gospel Pass (the highest road pass in Wales).
The start will be from the Glebe Field next to Madley Church, meeting up from 8am onwards for coffee and bacon butties.
Crews will be given a road book with junction diagrams, and maps with alternative routes to avoid tougher sections if needed. Lunch will be at The Castlefields.
The cost is £25 per car with driver and co-driver. Motorcycles and riders will pay £15. Extra passengers will be charged £6. All proceeds will go towards maintenance on Madley Church.
On the day all that will need to be paid for is lunch and fuel. Numbers are limited to 40 vehicles.
