PERFORMERS queued for more than three hours to try and impress Britain's Got Talent judges.

On Saturday, The ITV talent show came to Worcester with the first 50 arrivals performing their act.

Country and Western singer and guitarist Terry Carl, aged 53 from Hampton Lovett was the first inline to perform having arrived just before 8am.

He said after performing: "I think it went pretty well, but there were a few nerves, I hope they take those sort of things into account.

"They did not give me much feedback so I will have to wait and see.

"I woke up at half past 5 and was really looking forward to performing, no-one else was going to be in front of me in the queue today."

Also waiting their turn to perform were professional street dance group Beatbreakerz.

They are based at Worcester City Gym and have a team of 12 people, all aged between 8 and 16 and they have qualified for the British Street Dance Championships at Blackpool.

Amie Harris, dance school principal said: Everyone is really looking forward to it, we think we have a good chance of doing well.

"We are really pleased that it is in Worcester this year. We actually qualified for the Birmingham auditions but it is much better to do it in Worcester."

Eleven year old Kaitlyn Norwood of Nunnery Wood High School was one of the younger performers of the day.

She was singing 'Quiet' which was in Matilda the Musical.

Kaitlyn, who lives in Warndon Villages said: "I have been singing most of my life, I just want to entertain people."

Performers will have to wait until they know if they are through to the next round, with it possibly taking until February 2017 to find out.

A 16 year old dance duo from Malvern, called Ebony and Ivory were also amongst the performers.

Casey and Jade the members of the group described their dance as 'sassy hip hop.'

They said: "They (the judges) said it was good and that they enjoyed it but we haven't found out anything more yet.

"We were over the moon with how it went."

Successful acts will get to perform at Birmingham live shows next year, in front of a studio audience as well as Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Simon Cowell.

The winner of Britain's Got Talent will win the chance to perform in front of the royal family at the Royal Variety Performance.
