MOTORISTS have been warned that resurfacing work will take place on a busy Quarry Bank road next week.
Work will start on the northbound carriageway of Thorns Road, from Caledonia to Mount Pleasant, on Friday (July 1).
Dudley Council expects the work, which will take place between 9.30am and 3.30pm, to be complete by July 8.
Lane closures will be used to minimise disruption and traffic management operatives will be on hand to help motorists access frontages where safe to do so.
Councillor Hilary Bills, cabinet member for environmental services, said: “This work is part of our ongoing maintenance programme to improve the standard of our roads.
“We are undertaking the work during off-peak times in order to minimise disruption, but we would ask people to bear with us while we undertake this essential maintenance.”
