THERE was a taste fo success for one Worcester woman who managed to serve up a winning menu on tonight's Come Dine With Me.

Angela Leaver, who runs Ravenmeadow Golf Club in Claines with husband James, managed to impress her three rivals with a Maltese-inspired menu.

She received a respectable 22 points to come joint first with 25-year-old Aaron.

Even the Worcester Journal got a mention in the show with popular narrator Dave Lamb using it in his introduction while a mock Edward Elgar read a copy by South Quay.

She impressed with her king prawn in chilli, garlic and ginger starter but her rabbit main proved a bit too much to stomach for two of her guests.

A Maltese mousse for dessert rounded the evening off.

The 40-year-old mother-of-three said: "It was great watching myself very very funny, my kids and husband all loved it, which was my only concern.

"We sat together and watched it with ordered pizza.

"I was really pleased to have come joint first, was very surprised with Mark [Goodge]'s high score.

"I was very grateful as I think I'm the only person who has ever won with two of the contestants not eating the main, I think.

Best moment was seeing my husband and kids' reactions and worst moment was it ending.

"I wish it went on forever as totally loved the whole experience.

"I know I have done my family and friends proud.

I hope I have done my members at the golf club proud.

"Worcester city is the best place I've ever lived in, I love it here  and I'mvery lucky to call this place home."
