STAFF and children at a Quinton nursery are celebrating after being judged “outstanding” by Ofsted.
Inspectors were impressed with early years provision, well-being of the youngsters and leadership and management at Christchurch Pre-School, giving them top marks.
They said: “Staff take account of children’s individual needs and interests extremely well, as they plan exciting and stimulating activities in a vibrant and enabling environment.”
The inspectors added: “Leadership and management are dynamic and staff are highly motivated.
“Sharply focused monitoring and self-evaluation means that there is continuous improvement in the high-quality provision, so children build on a firm foundation.”
The nursery, based at Quinton Church Parish Hall, was previously deemed “good” by Ofsted in 2011 and manager Julie MacDonald said staff were “ecstatic” about the latest judgement.
She added: “Everyone is just so happy. The staff have worked here for a long time and it is wonderful to be recognised for the commitment we give to the children, who always come first.”
