A TABLETOP book sale helped raise almost £100 for a Worcester charity.
The Daisychain Benevolent Fund bookshop in St John's held a sale in the foyer of Sainsbury's today.
Volunteers were busy on the stall for several hours and shop manager, Jeanette Waters, said the sale went "incredibly well".
"We raised £88 through the sale, which is fantastic. A lot of people came along and people are surprised at the range of books we have for sale in the bookshop — some people seem to think we just sell fiction but we don't," she said.
"I want to thank all of the volunteers that gave up their time to man the stall, and Sainsbury's for having us. We would love to do it again."
The shop also runs a 'book-finding' service, where people can add their reading requests to a list and the shop will alert them when the book comes in.
