A HEREFORD nightclub is hosting its first ever Question Time tonight in a bid to encourage young people to use their vote.

Play nightclub is set to host the event tonight, with candidates from the Conservative party, Independent group, Labour party, Green party, Liberal Democrats, UKIP and It's Our County all due to attend.

It will be hosted by Anthony Murphy, former manager of alternative nightclub The Jailhouse.

Dan Guerche, general manager at Play nightclub, said: "Simply not enough young people vote and this is your opportunity to ask questions of parties live on stage.

"These people are standing for election – one of these people will be the future MP of Hereford, and this is your opportunity to ask them what they will do for you and why you should vote for them."

Rock the Vote is an attempt to get young people to take an interest in politics and use their vote, he added.

Doors open at 8pm and the candidates take to the stage at 9pm for an hour long Q&A from the audience.
