PUBLIC and private sector projects in and around Bromsgrove will be highlighted at a business breakfast being held at a Bromsgrove museum.

The Invest in North Worcestershire event, organised by the North Worcestershire Economic Development and Regeneration (NWEDR), will be looking at the current and planned investment in the county will totals almost £350million according to new research.

NWEDR provides economic development and regeneration services for the three North Worcestershire local authorities of Bromsgrove, Redditch and Wyre Forest.

Projects in Bromsgrove include the £17.4 million building of the new railway station and permission for a £12million Extra Care facility, as well as the proposed £11million new leisure centre and the retail-led regeneration of the Market Hall site.

The latest investments in Bromsgrove will be discussed at the meeting being held at Avoncroft Museum, in Stoke Heath, on Thursday, March 19.

Bromsgrove District councillor Michael Webb, whose portfolio covers economic development, said: "North Worcestershire is the perfect place to do business and the areas of Bromsgrove, Kidderminster and Redditch offer something to meet the needs of all types of investors."
