EVESHAM'S Christmas lights were switched on last night by the mayor and special guest Postman Pat.
The sound of the sleigh was heard as Father Christmas paraded up Bridge Street into Market Place where he and his reindeer will spent the afternoon.
Throughout the day Postman Pat visited the Riverside Centre for photo opportunities.
The Christmas lights were turned on at 5.30pm.
There were fireworks and a Christmas singalong with mulled wine to end the festivities.
The fun continues into December with the traditional market running from December 1 until 14.
And on December 6 the Evesham Rotary Club's 90ft tree of light will be illuminated in memory of loved ones that cannot be here this Christmas.
