A NATIONAL charity with Bromsgrove-based headquarters is inviting townsfolk to its Christmas fair.

The Stroke Association is holding the event at the Life After Stroke Centre, in Church Lane, on Saturday, December 6 from 11am until 3pm.

Visitors will be welcomed with winter warming refreshment, including tea and mince pies, which will be helping everyone get into the festive spirit.

On sale will be Christmas floral arrangements, gifts, and Christmas cards, while there will also be an appearance from Santa Claus.

Claire Benfield, Stroke Association fundraiser, said, “We’re opening our doors to everyone in the West Midlands to come along and get into the Christmas spirit.

"A stroke can have a huge impact on someone’s life, that’s why we want to raise as much money so we can be there for more stroke survivors and their families in these difficult times.

"We’ll have lots to offer on the day to get you ready for the festive season. So come along, grab a mince pie and see all the delights that will be on offer.”

"There are around 11,600 people who have a stroke every year in the West Midlands, and more than 100,000 people live with the effects of stroke."
