A DISUSED furniture factory in Cradley Heath is set to be demolished to make way for housing.
A planning application has been submitted to Sandwell Council to demolish the J D Leather Furniture factory and replace it with four three bedroom houses.
The land on Cox's Lane has been bought by Carjan Properties and Gould Singleton Architects have been hired to improve the housing application.
A spokesman for the architects said: "Small areas of landscaping will be provided on the front of the houses and these will be landscaped by the developer before the occupation of the units.
"The materials used will predominantly be red brick to harmonise with the surrounding properties but contrasting materials may be incorporated on the houses."
Previously a planning application to knock down the factory and build four houses was approved and the new owners of the land expect approval for this modified application.
