ALCESTER’s branch of the Royal British Legion will hold a “Lights Out” candlelit vigil in commemoration of the First World War.
Those attending the event on Monday, August 4 are invited to bring candles to light up during the service and should meet outside the church at 10.30pm.
An introduction and address will be made.
During the service each flame will be blown out leaving just one candle alight on the War Memorial.
Refreshments will be available before and after the event.
The event will run till 11.15pm.
