A pilot survived after a plane crashed into a field near Winterbourne Earls, in Wiltshire
A pilot has walked away from a light aircraft crash with only minor injuries, police have said.
The plane crashed shortly before midday on Saturday in a field at Winterbourne Earls, near Salisbury, Wiltshire.
A Wiltshire Police spokeswoman said: "Police were notified by the fire service at approximately 11.52am to reports of a light aircraft crashing in a field.
"The wreckage was found near to the A345 at Longhead, Salisbury. The pilot was able to walk away from the wreckage with only minor injuries.
"Fire crews remain at the scene dealing with the wreckage and to clear any spillages as a result of the crash."
