TWO Shipston women were seriously injured in a horrific car crash at Little Rollright, near Chipping Norton.
Warwickshire Police withheld the names of the women who were aboard a silver Vauxhall Astra that was in collision with a green Skoda Felicia at about 6.24pm on Monday, June 29.
Police said the accident happened as the Astra pulled out of Oakham Road onto Hook Norton Road and the Skoda travelled along Hook Norton Road.
The rear seat passenger from the Astra, a 52-year-old Shipston woman, suffered serious head injuries and was flown to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford by Air Ambulance.
The Astra driver, a 23-year-old Shipston female, had to be freed from the vehicle by fire crews and a ground ambulance took her to the John Radcliffe Hospital with suspected serious injuries.
A ground ambulance also took the Skoda driver, a 50-year-old woman from the Banbury area, to Horton General Hospital, Banbury.
Her injuries are unknown.
Officers investigating the incident want to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle before it occurred.
Anyone with information is asked to telephone Police Constable Steve Dance, at the Greys Mallory traffic base, on 01926 415415.
