Jasper walks Cotswold Way for Shipston charity

SHIPSTON’S Jasper Feilding put his stoutest boots on to walk the 102-mile Cotswold Way to raise at least £1,400 for one of the town’s charities.

He and friend William Pusey did the walk, which traverses the Cotswold Escarpment between Bath and Chipping Campden, in aid of Shipston Home Nursing.

They completed the walk in six days, spending nights at pubs and friend’s homes along the way.

“The scenery was the highlight,” said Jasper, who had an ambition to walk the Cotswold Way for many years.

Jasper raised sponsorship money for Shipston Home Nursing, which provides terminally ill people with hospice care in their homes, because the charity had helped two of his neighbours.

He is still accepting donations for the charity and these should be sent to him at 33 Sheep Street, Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire, CV36 4AE, with cheques made out to Shipston Home Nursing.
