Valuable loco was stolen in burglary
A VALUABLE working model steam engine has been stolen from a village near Pershore.
The house in Pinvin was broken into between Monday, June 18, and Wednesday, June 20.
Among the items taken was a highly detailed, coalfired 3½-inch gauge fourcylinder King class steam locomotive and tender in Brunswick green with a lion on wheel crest.
The model is of number 6000 – King George V and is transportable in specially made carrying boxes, also painted Brunswick green.
The locomotive and tender are unique and worth several thousand pounds.
