A COTSWOLD primary school has welcomed a new headteacher along with a new intake of pupils.
Joanne Welch has now taken over at St Catharine’s School in Chipping Campden. Deputy head Jane Cannon had been acting head since Michael Sessarego retired in 2010.
Mrs Welch, who has taught at schools in Cheltenham, the Forest of Dean and Germany, said: “I have received a warm welcome from governors, staff and parents and aim to work closely with the whole community to ensure the continued development and success of St Catharine’s.”
Meanwhile, 18 new reception children have joined the school. Admin manager Carol McCarthy said: “They all seem to be very happy.
