THERE are not many people who have hands that can chop a piece of wood in half and perform Chopin on the piano in the same week.

But Jude Wynter, of Inkberrow, recently got a grade 8 distinction on the piano, one of the youngest in the country to reach this level.

He also achieved a black belt in tae kwon do and won local competition Pinvin’s Got Talent, all in the same week in June.

“It was a busy summer,”

said the 10-year-old, who also plays football for Alcester Town. “The two things are quite different so I can’t compare them but I like both a lot.

“I have been learning the piano for five years and doing tae kwon do for four.

I was really pleased to win Pinvin’s Got Talent because I wasn’t expecting it.”

Jude’s not about to rest on his laurels, though. He said: “I am going to work towards a diploma in piano. It may take two to three years to complete.”
