Shoppers help foodbank

HELP: Guy Warner with Rev Fiona Milton and James Milton of the North Cotswold Foodbank. HELP: Guy Warner with Rev Fiona Milton and James Milton of the North Cotswold Foodbank.

THE North Cotswolds Foodbank has been given a major funding boost thanks to generous Warner’s Budgens customers.

Shoppers at the store in Moreton raised £611 through the Warner’s Budgens Community Savings Scheme which will be put towards improving the current foodstore in Naunton and potentially relocating to larger premises.

The Warner’s Budgens community savings scheme raises money for local projects and this year the store has raised almost £2,000.

Owner Guy Warner said: “I am so pleased that we are able to support our local community through customers spending money with us.

“Customers have adopted the scheme as their own, with many asking for the token before the cashier has offered it to them. I would like to thank all our customers for their support, and also wish the Foodbank all the best for the relocation of the food stores.”
