Women prepare to face Ladies Driving Challenge

IF you are a woman and you have always fancied getting behind the wheel of a big truck - this is your chance.

Women, older than 17, will be able to drive fire engines, articulated lorries, buses, fork lift trucks and other vehicles in the Ladies Driving Challenge, which The Fire Fighters Charity will hold at The Fire Service College, London Road, Moreton on Sunday, April 25.

Firefighters and college staff supervise the annual event held, in aid of the charity, on the college’s vehicle zones, simulated motorway and off-road area.

Registration costs £10 and entrants must raise a minimum of £90 in sponsorship.

To participate, contact Mike Perraton on 07717 895424 or visit www.firefighterscharity.org.uk/ldc
